Christmas season has ended, now it’s time to figure out how to face the new year. Some people love the new year, the idea of starting new. I know some people who like to think that last year doesn’t matter anymore, just looking forward to the new year. Life doesn’t work that way, though. Decisions we made last year still need to be dealt with this year. Christmas debts need to be paid. Arguments we had need to be apologized for or forgiven.
The best way to start a new year is with God in our heart. Psalm 19:7 says God’s Word revives the soul. Doesn’t that sound like a great way to start the new year, with a revived soul?
