Is your church Christian?

It may seem like a stupid question. If a church says it’s Christian, than it must be, right? Many synods and pastors pick and choose what to peach and what to ignore.

But you are a shield around me, o Lord; You bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Psalm 3:3-4

Who am I?

What does it mean to live as God’s daughter? That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I’ve been a practicing Christian inconsistently though out my life, but now I want to figure out what it means to live as a child of God. As a literal minded adult, I’m looking at the Bible itself and devotional books of all kinds to figure out what God asks of his people and how to apply that to modern, crazy life.

Advent
